Longman & Eagle, the brainchild of the folks behind The Empty Bottle, Mode Carpentry and Struggle Inc., is set to open on Wednesday, January 20.
A modern take on the traditional Chicago Inn, Longman & Eagle’s first-floor restaurant and bar will offer the neighborhood regional American cuisine featuring head-to-tail cookery and seasonality.
Executive Chef Jared Wentworth cooks with a mastery of modern techniques and quality ingredients, and his cuisine will be served in a casual environment at affordable prices. Longman & Eagle complements its menu with an impressive assortment of seasonal craft beer, small-batch bottle spirits and an ever-changing list of boutique wines chosen with an eye towards biodynamic small producers.
Hours are from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. Sunday through Friday, and 3 p.m. until 3 a.m. Saturday. Breakfast, brunch and lunch will be added later this year.
