The Best of the Ball Park Cook-Off
In honor of the Major League Baseball season opener, four esteemed Chicago chefs are set to square off in Play for Life International’s “Best of the Ball Park” cooking contest. On Friday, April 9, Troy Graves (Eve), Cary Taylor (The Southern), Paul Virant (Vie) and Sean Cunneen (Cafe Too) will craft their own versions of ball park fare at Galleria Marchetti (825 W. Erie St.) for a charitable cause.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 10:30 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample each chef’s unique creation. A silent auction and raffle will accompany the culinary proceedings. At the end of the evening, a vote will be held and one chef will be declared the winner of the ball park challenge.
Tickets cost $65 in advance or $75 at the door. Funds raised will go towards Play For Life International, a nonprofit organization that uses sports to help at-risk youth participate in healthy activities and develop a positive lifestyle.
